MEDALS - Our amazing 2022 medals are available from our Wilmslow store (SK91HG Free parking) free of charge to all entrants. We wish to share this lovely medal to as many runners as possible. We do not require proof of your virtual run on this occasion. You may also collect for family and friends. We have added a chargeable post option (£2.50) here. If you require more than 1 medal posting out please email run@runnorthwest.co.uk.

Cancelling Sundays Yule Yomp for safety reasons was such a sad moment for us all and we know for you as well. Following weeks of preparation the unexpected heavy snowfall in Knutsford yesterday followed by a below zero night defeated us.
We still went on course at first light to help us plan for any future bad conditions. We agreed that it was the right call as many stretches on and off road had compacted to ice. This would have deteriorated further as so many runners pass. Tatton do not grit the park roads near the lake as it can harm the biodiversity.
With our medics and risk assessor advising us on Saturday to cancel plus an essential rural based contractor having serious doubts about making it, we took the call to save everyone from a potential bigger last minute upset.
We look forward to welcoming you all to the Yule Yomp 2023.

Course
The 10K trail race attracts both club runners seeking to place and recreational runners enjoying a festive event, many in fabulous fancy dress!
The race starts at the Knutsford Gate to Tatton Park and finishes just outside Egerton Youth Club on Mereheath Lane. The race is a 1-lap course which runs through and around Tatton Park, consisting of undulating terrain, trail, grass, tarmac and gravel. The final 1K is on fully closed roads, back to Race HQ at Egerton Youth Club.
Closing Date
We will close entries as soon as we reach our limit or on Midnight the night before the race.
When the race sells out, we do not operate an official waiting list for this event, nor will there be any entries on the day. Please enter ASAP to avoid disappointment.
Eco Water
In a conscious effort to reduce our carbon footprint ♻ and do our bit to save the planet 🌍, we have introduced a bring your own water bottle (pre-filled) to place at the finish area for the end of the race. Completely optional, but every person who brings their own bottle of water is helping to save the planet one small step at a time.
Bottled water will be provided. We do use a responsible supplier for our water (as well as being ZERO to landfill), their bottles are made out of 51% recycled plastic and are 100% recyclable.

Results are available immediately on Nifty entries.

Transfers
Transfers can take place until Midnight the night before the race. It is imperative that you do NOT give your number to someone else.
If you are unable to make it on the day, for whatever reason, we would love for you to still enjoy your own version of a race day, and earn one of our iconic medals, by participating virtually. Transfer your entry to the virtual option via your confirmation email or Nifty entries account and click on 'transfer to another event'.

The closest train stations/tram stop (on foot) to Race HQ is Knutsford, which is a 1-mile walk away (or warm up).

There is ample FREE parking within Knutsford Town Centre on Sunday’s. The race booklet will have the details of the parking we have secured for the event, or recommended parking areas.

Our official race charity partner is DKMS, a charity dedicated to fight against blood cancer and blood disorders:
