Join us for a fun filled race along the seafront and promenade at Southport!

The race is 2 laps around Marine Lake and Ocean Plaza, taking in the model railway, Silcock’s fun land, PleasureLand and the pier. With only 75ft of elevation, and closed roads along Marine Drive, it promises to be a fast and fun course.

NUMBERS
Numbers will be available for advanced collection from our store in the 3 weeks leading up to the race, and also available to collect on the day at Race HQ – collection dates will be announced on social media. On the day instructions/the Race Booklet will be emailed to you in the month leading up to the event which will contain full information about the number collection process.

COURSE
The race starts on Marine Drive, heading towards Fairway and is a 2-lap course. Taking in the model railway, Silcock’s fun land, PleasureLand and the pier. With only 75ft of elevation, and closed roads along Marine Drive, it promises to be a fast and fun course.

This race is ran on partially closed roads and pavements. The course has been measured and is certified to be an accurate 10K course | course number 19/499.

 

 

PRIZES 🏆
Presentations will take place after the race as soon as the results have been verified, prizes are from gun times.

All prizes are equal for male and females, they will be awarded to the top 3 finishers as well as the first Vet in all age groups from V35 to V80+ in 5-year increments plus the first U20 (one prize per individual).

There are bike storage racks are situated outside the Ocean Plaza Brewers Fayre Pub.

Public Transport
The closest train station/tram stop (on foot) to Race HQ is Southport which is 0.9 miles away from Race HQ.

Car and parking facilities
Where possible please car share 🚗 to ease congestion, traffic and help save the environment 🌍!

A special parking discount has been arranged at Esplanade (park and ride) carpark for all-day at £2 if entering the car park before 9:00am. Which is only a 2 minute walk away from Race HQ/Princes Park. Other parking options are available, please consult the App parkopedia for options. The race booklet will have the details of the parking we have secured for the event, or recommended parking areas.

Results are available immediately on Nifty entries, CLICK HERE to take a look at all Run North West race results. 

If you enter your mobile number in your race entry sign up, you will receive a text message as you cross the finish line with your results.

FAMILY FUN RUN
Our chosen charity is Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. A donation of the proceeds from the Family Fun Run, will go to the charity!

Entries are £7.00 per person and include a Family Fun Run medal to all finishers. Family Fun Run numbers are collection on the day only. The Family Fun Run will start at 9:15am and have finished before the main 10K event has set off. 

Minimum age 4 years old, children who are unable to manage the run safely on their own without assistance, must be accompanied by an adult.

ECO WATER 🥤
In a conscious effort to reduce our carbon footprint ♻ and do our bit to save the planet 🌍, we have introduced a bring your own water bottle (pre-filled) to place at the finish area for the end of the race. Completely optional, but every person who brings their own bottle of water is helping to save the planet one small step at a time.

Bottled water will be provided, as usual, for anyone who doesn’t bring their own. We do use a responsible supplier for our water (as well as being ZERO to landfill), their bottles are made out of 51% recycled plastic and are 100% recyclable.
