FINISH LINE - PARTICIPANTS ONLY

To maximise participant safety we have taken the precaution of making the finish line area participants only.

Due to the finish area being on narrow country lanes it becomes very congested at the peak finish times between runners and spectators.

Being spectator-free will allow volunteers and our medical team the space to monitor and then assist any finishers.

We thank you for your support in keeping your friends and family safe.

Spectators can still enjoy the race build up and start in Wilmslow. Once started we recommend enjoying the facilities in Wilmslow town centre and arranging to meet up back here, the finish is about one mile from Wilmslow town centre.

You also have the option to meet outside Hickory's on Altrincham Road which is just outside the restricted finish area, around 400 metres after the finish. Please note you are not able to park in the Hickory's car park.

MEDAL
Check out the Wilmslow Festive 10K bespoke collectable bauble-themed medal for 2025. We hope it looks great on your Christmas tree!

MUSIC PLAYERS/HEADPHONES
We strongly advise against the use of personal music players or headphones during the race, as this can restrict your ability to hear safety instructions from marshals or unexpected events.

WATER
Bottled water will be provided as usual, for anyone who doesn't bring their own. We do use a responsible supplier for our water (as well as being ZERO to landfill) their bottles are made out of recycled plastic and are 100% recyclable. Water will be available at the half-way point of the race and at the finish line.

It's important that you either hand your empty bottles back to us before you leave the finish area or take the bottle home with you to recycle.

MEDICAL SERVICES
First aid is situated at various points along the course. Should you feel unwell during the race please let your nearest marshal know so we can arrange for medics to get to you as soon as possible. If you come across anyone injured or in distress, please report it to the nearest marshal who will be in contact with our event team and our first aid providers. First aid is also available at the start and finish areas.

It is incredibly important to also fill in your personal details section on the reverse of your race number. This greatly assists the medical staff, should you require first aid or medical treatment!

Please also take the time to fill in your emergency contact details on the reverse of the number prior to running, in the unfortunate event of an emergency, these can help medics to treat you swiftly and appropriately.

Please DO NOT run in someone else’s number as it is against UKA rules, it can cause problems with the results and could also cause a lot of distress should there be an incident and the wrong family is contacted.
