NUMBERS
Numbers must be attached to the front of your vest, please do not fold/cut/deface it in anyway. The timing chip is attached to the back of your number and is detected when you cross the start and the finish. Please do not run around the outside of the mat area or your time will not be recorded.

Please also take the time to fill in your emergency contact details on the reverse of the number prior to running, in the unfortunate event of an emergency, these can help medics to treat you swiftly and appropriately.

Please DO NOT run in someone else’s number as it is against UKA rules, it can cause problems with the results and could also cause a lot of distress should there be an incident and the wrong family is contacted.

COURSE
The race is a 1-lap course is within the grounds of National Trust Lyme and consists of approximately 10K of running, with 272 metres of elevation gain.  A tougher longer trail race than our other events with some great elevation and a fully marked and marshalled course, so no navigation required!

MUSIC PLAYERS/HEADPHONES
We strongly advise against the use of personal music players or headphones during the race, as this can restrict your ability to hear safety instructions from marshals or unexpected events.

WATER
In a conscious effort to reduce our carbon footprint, we have introduced a bring your own water bottle (pre-filled) to place at the finish area for the end of the race. Completely optional, but every person who brings their own bottle of water is helping to save the planet one small step at a time.

In line with our environmental policy, we kindly encourage runners to carry their own water if needed. A water station with easy-to-carry sports cap bottles will be available around the 4K mark. Please help us protect the site by only disposing of bottles in the designated drop zones (white sacks) or carrying them to the finish.

We will also have a water station at the finish line where we will providing water in cups that are recyclable, compostable and bio-degradable.  This means that the cups will have biodegraded by a minimum of 70% within 30 days.
