Run North West presents

The Wilmslow Summer Half Marathon 2027

Run North West are delighted to present the inaugural Wilmslow Summer Half Marathon.

£10 off the first 1000 entries - Book Now!

Join us for our first ever half on this flat, PB course. Starting in the heart of Wilmslow before passing back through the town centre during miles seven to ten, creating a carnival atmosphere for both runners and spectators.

Expect cheer zones and huge encouragement at one of the race calendars biggest occasions, all on fully closed roads following the full Run North West experience.

We can promise a fast, loop course with an unforgettable race-day atmosphere supported by our expert pacers. Expect packed streets, incredible crowd support and an atmosphere that carries you every step of the way. Scenic, traffic-free country lanes before returning into Wilmslow for a finish that's perfect for chasing a PB.

A net downhill course featuring 108 m decent and 98 m ascent making it both a fast and certified legal course.

Replacing our Summer 10K with a half marathon, we have combined the original fast 10K loop and added a town centre experience for the second half of the route.

Enjoy the convenience of free town centre parking and benefit from road closures designed to minimise disruption for local residents.

Take on this incredible challenge while making a real difference. By running the Wilmslow Summer 1/2, you can raise vital funds for The Christie Charity, helping to support life-changing cancer care, treatment and research. Whether you're racing for a PB or taking on your first 13.1 miles, the Wilmslow Summer 1/2 promises an unforgettable race-day experience.

A new summer tradition. Half Marathon. Full Atmosphere.

Course

A fast, scenic and unforgettable 13.1 mile journey through the heart of Wilmslow and the beautiful Cheshire countryside. Starting in Wilmslow town centre, the course takes in our traditional 10K route before bringing runners back through the town for a second time. The final 3 miles takes you onto the Alderley Edge bypass where you can open up your stride to finish strong. A net downhill course featuring 108 m decent and 98 m ascent making it both a fast and certified legal course.

We are very grateful to Cheshire East, highways and the local community for coming together to create what will be an incredible day for the town. Due to our commitment to the local community, the roads on the route will be reopened on a rolling basis. To keep closures to our agreed times, we will run an approx three hour cut off and participant’s over three hours may be asked to complete some later sections on the safety of pavements.

Your fundraising transforms into the most incredible things; it saves lives, it brings the latest equipment to their hospital and it helps them make vital discoveries as they strive to get a step ahead of cancer.

Gifts from the public make a huge difference to the care and treatment that The Christie is able to provide to their patients and their families.

Official Race Charity

The Christie has been one of our official charity partners since 2017. Thanks to the incredible support of our runners, we've helped raise over £140,000 for the charity (figure correct as of June 2026). Join us in 2027 and help make an even bigger impact.

When you join Team Christie, you'll be supported every step of the way with expert training tips, fundraising advice and encouragement from the charity's dedicated events team. You'll also receive an official Team Christie running vest or t-shirt to wear with pride on race day.
