Barclays Knutsford 10K Resident Information
Dear Resident,
On Sunday 27th September 2026 at 9:30am, Run North West will be organising the Barclays Knutsford 10K road race. Barclays Radbroke Technology Centre has very kindly provided the use of its car parks and facilities, which will serve as the Race HQ and the start and finish area for the event.
Road closures
For the safety of runners, the official legal road closure period will be 8:30am to 12:30pm. However, we will operate a rolling road-closure system, meaning that individual roads will be closed for much shorter periods wherever possible. Our aim is to reopen roads as soon as it is safe to do so and to allow residents and businesses access to and from the A537 at the earliest opportunity. Once the last runners have passed key junctions, roads will be reopened. This approach is designed to minimise disruption to your journey and your morning.
The race starts at 9:30am, and we anticipate that the final runner will finish at approximately 11:15am. As an example, Stocks Lane is expected to be closed from approximately 9:00am until 11:15am, while other roads along the route will have shorter closure periods. The anticipated timings for each section of the course can be found in the table below.
If you need to leave your property by vehicle during the event, we recommend moving your vehicle before the road closures come into effect, where possible.
Race route
The race will leave Barclays Radbroke Technology Centre, turning left onto Stocks Lane. It will then follow a clockwise loop along:
Stocks Lane → Chelford Lane → Pepper Street → Common Lane → Mill Lane → Boundary Lane → Grotto Lane → Stocks Lane
The runners will then return to Barclays Radbroke Technology Centre, where the race will finish.
