We are looking forward to seeing you at the Trafford 10K.
This race information email includes everything you need to know about the start, finish, number collection, parking and much more. We aim to provide you with all the information you need for race day below, but if you have any questions please follow this link to check our event FAQ's.
This single lap course is ideal for achieving fast times, set on scenic roads that start and finish in Partington, close to Manchester. The route heads towards Dunham Massey before looping back towards Partington.
This race is fully licensed by UKA #27588 & course measurement certified 23/024

Please ensure you are prepared, warmed up and on the start line by 9:20 AM as the race must start promptly!

We have a new RACE HQ location for the 2026 race.
Partington Youth Centre, Moss Lane, M31 4FA
800 meters from the start line!

CAR AND PARKING FACILITIES
Please car share where possible to ease congestion on race day.
Parking at the School & Sports Centre may be reduced due to building works which are due to commence over the coming weeks.
Due to this there may be more requirement for on street parking on nearby roads/estates, please park considerably of the local community & we will have marshals on hand to direct you.
Please factor this additional time into your morning plan on race day!
Please use the postcode M31 4FT this will lead you to the parking locations.
We recommend arriving before 8:15 AM to ensure you don't experience any delays!
BIKE
Bike racks are available at Race HQ.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The closest train station (on foot) to Race HQ is Irlam railway station(5.1 Miles).

NUMBER COLLECTION
Race numbers are now available for advance collection from our Run North West Wilmslow Store with free parking (1 Kings Close, Wilmslow, SK9 5EB) OR can be picked up on the morning of the race at Race HQ from 7:15AM. You can also pick up family, friends and running club numbers in advance, just make sure you have their date of birth to hand. Please note we do not post numbers out to help reduce the significant amount of waste this creates and do our bit to help the planet.

If you are unable to make it into store, you can still pick up on the morning of race day from our Race HQ from 7:15AM.

OPTIONAL T-SHIRT
T-shirts that have been pre-purchased will be available for pick up on race day from Race HQ, you can collect these before or after the race. We're thrilled to be hosting Trafford foodbank at our race HQ, they support families across the Trafford area with essential food items, they always require more stock so please support them as much as you can with the below where you can.

MUSIC PLAYERS/HEADPHONES
We strongly advise against the use of personal music players or headphones during the race, as this can restrict your ability to hear safety instructions from marshals or unexpected events.

WATER
Bottled water will be provided as usual. We do use a responsible supplier for our water (as well as being ZERO to landfill) their bottles are made out of recycled plastic and are 100% recyclable. Water will be available at the half-way point of the race and at the finish line.
It's important that you either hand your empty bottles back to us before you leave the finish area or take the bottle home with you to recycle.

MEDICAL SERVICES
First aid is situated at various points along the course. Should you feel unwell during the race please let the nearest marshal know so we can arrange for medics to get to you as soon as possible. If you come across anyone injured or in distress, please report it to the nearest marshal who will be in contact with our event team and our first aid providers. First aid is also available at the start and finish areas.
It is incredibly important to also fill in your personal details section on the reverse of your race number. This greatly assists the medical staff, should you require first aid or medical treatment!

BAG DROP
Where possible please leave your belongings in your cars. We have a limited bag drop for anyone cycling or coming by public transport to the race.

TOILETS
There will be ample portable toilet facilities 200 meters from the start line of the race.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Our race day pictures will be free to download and linked to your results as soon as possible after the event. A link can be found on our EVENT PAGE. You can also use the new photo recognition technology to find your pictures.

RESULTS
Timing and results will be available on our RESULTS PAGE as soon as possible after the race has finished, simply click on the link. If you entered your mobile number into your entry details you should receive a text as you cross the finish line.
After the results are published, if you spot any issues or errors please contact Nifty Entries our results provider by clicking on the “query a result button”

PRIZES
Top 5 Male and Female prizes will be presented straight after the race and will be based on gun times. Vet prizes will be sent out via email and based on chip times.
With Trafford attracting a stellar field of athletes we offer the below structure for time based bonus's
Male /Female
Sub 29:00/32:00 - £100
Sub 28:30/31:30 - £250
Sub 28:00/31:00 - £250
For breaking the course record of 28:27/30:55 the winner (only) will be awarded with a £250 cash prize.
All prizes are equal for male and females, they will be awarded to the top 5 finishers as well as the first Vet in all age groups from V35 to V85+ in 5-year increments plus the first U20 (one prize per individual, male and female).

NUMBERS
Numbers must be attached to the front of your vest, please do not fold/cut/deface it in anyway. The timing chip is attached to the back of your number and is detected when you cross the start and the finish. Please do not run around the outside of the mat area or your time will not be recorded.
Please also take the time to fill in your emergency contact details on the reverse of the number prior to running, in the unfortunate event of an emergency, these can help medics to treat you swiftly and appropriately.
Please DO NOT run in someone else’s number as it is against UKA rules, it can cause problems with the results and could also cause a lot of distress should there be an incident and the wrong family is contacted.

TRANSFERS
If you can no longer make the race and wish to transfer your entry to someone else, you can do this by clicking THIS LINK
Transfers are free of charge and any monies transferring hands needs to be a direct agreement between the two parties. If you transfer your number after collecting it from our store, then please note you will need to give the number to the person you have transferred it to. Please be very careful if buying or selling an entry on social media as sadly some scams do occur.
Please note as per the terms and conditions of entry, we do not offer refunds or transfers to other races due to the upfront costs of each event.

VIRTUAL RACE OPTION
If you would prefer to run the Trafford 10K virtually, we have created a virtual option to allow you to still get involved, run the 10K virtually and earn yourself our iconic medal!
To opt for the virtual race please click THIS LINK. As well as the option to transfer to another person, there will also be an option to transfer to the Virtual race.
PLEASE NOTE: If you take the option to transfer into the virtual race, you will NOT have an entry to run the 2026 Trafford 10K. This virtual option is INSTEAD of joining us on race day.

COURSE
The one lap course is perfect for fast times ran on scenic country roads starting and finishing in Partington near to Manchester. The route heads towards Dunham Massey before returning back towards Partington.

The race is on fully closed roads. The course has been measured and is certified to be an accurate 10K course | Course Number 23/024

PACERS
Our fantastic pacer team will be on hand to deliver you to your desired time on a consistent pace! We have pacers from 35:00 minutes all the way to 80 minutes, all at 2.5 minute intervals until 70 minutes then every 5 minutes until 80 minutes.
