Trafford Resident Letter 2026

Dear Resident, 

On Sunday 1st March 2026 at 9:30am Run North West will once again be hosting the Trafford 10K road running race, starting and finishing on Chapel Lane.  
Due to the ongoing building works at the Broadoak School & Partington Leisure Centre we’ve been able to secure the Partington Youth Centre to base our Race HQ. 

Roads closed: 

The race runs in a clockwise loop from Partington starting along Chapel Lane. Then proceeds onto Covershaw Lane, Sinderland Lane, Whitehouse Lane, School Lane, Back Lane, Henshall Lane and Redhouse Lane before returning to Sinderland Lane, Covershaw Lane to the finish on Chapel Lane. For the safety of the runners and as in previous years, the roads will be officially closed between 08:30-12:00 noon. On average, the last runner will complete the race in 1 hour 45 minutes and the roads will most likely open earlier than the blanket time given. If you need to leave your home by vehicle  during these hours, we suggest relocating your vehicle temporarily to an access road before the closures are in place at 08:30.
