Run North West are delighted to bring you the Tatton Yule Yomp 🦌.

The 10K trail race attracts both club runners seeking to place and recreational runners enjoying a festive event, many in fabulous fancy dress! The race is a 1-lap course which runs through and around Tatton Park, consisting of undulating terrain, trail, grass, tarmac and gravel. The final 1K is on fully closed roads, back to Race HQ at Egerton Youth Club.  

The race is licenced by TRA race licence: TBC

 

NUMBERS
Numbers will be available for advanced collection from our store in the 3 weeks leading up to the race, and also available to collect on the day at Race HQ – collection dates will be announced on social media. On the day instructions/the Race Booklet will be emailed to you in the month leading up to the event which will contain full information about the number collection process.

When the race sells out, we do not operate an official waiting list for this event, nor will there be any entries on the day. Please enter ASAP to avoid disappointment.

COURSE
The 10K trail race attracts both club runners seeking to place and recreational runners enjoying a festive event, many in fabulous fancy dress!

The race starts at the Knutsford Gate to Tatton Park and finishes just outside Egerton Youth Club on Mereheath Lane. The race is a 1-lap course which runs through and around Tatton Park, consisting of undulating terrain, trail, grass, tarmac and gravel. The final 1K is on fully closed roads, back to Race HQ at Egerton Youth Club.

Road or trail shoes are suitable for the course, we would advise trail shoes if the days leading up to the race have been extremely wet.

 

PRIZES 🏆
Presentations will take place after the race as soon as the results have been verified, prizes are from gun times.

All prizes are equal for male and females, they will be awarded to the top 3 finishers as well as the first Vet in all age groups from V35 to V80+ in 5-year increments plus the first U20 (one prize per individual).

There are bike storage areas at Egerton Youth/Football Club.

Public Transport
The closest train stations/tram stop (on foot) to Race HQ is Knutsford, which is a 1-mile walk away (or warm up).


Car and parking facilities
Where possible please car share 🚗 to ease congestion, traffic and help save the environment 🌍!

There is ample FREE parking within Knutsford Town Centre on Sunday’s. The race booklet will have the details of the parking we have secured for the event, or recommended parking areas.

Results are available immediately on Nifty entries, CLICK HERE to take a look at all Run North West race results. 

If you enter your mobile number in your race entry sign up, you will receive a text message as you cross the finish line with your results. 

 

OFFICIAL RACE CHARITY
Run North West are proud to support local charities. A contribution from the 10K entry fee will go to a local charity.

FAMILY FUN RUN

Our chosen charity is The David Lewis Centre ❤. 100% of the proceeds from the Family Fun Run, will go to the charity!

Entries are £7.00 per person and include a Family Fun Run medal to all finishers. Family Fun Run numbers are collection on the day only. The Family Fun Run will start as soon as the main 10K event has set off. 

Minimum age 4 years old, children who are unable to manage the run safely on their own without assistance, must be accompanied by an adult.

FAMILY FUN RUN CHARITY
Our chosen charity is The David Lewis Centre ❤. 100% of the proceeds from the Family Fun Run, will go to the charity!

David Lewis provides outstanding education, residential, medical and therapeutic support for people with learning disabilities, epilepsy and autism.

David Lewis is a modern, forward-thinking charity with a track record and reputation built over 100 years. They provide a range of educational, residential and medical services to support adults and young people with complex needs, including learning disabilities, epilepsy and autism. They are based in Cheshire, but through our residential services, support people from across the UK.

ECO WATER 🥤
In a conscious effort to reduce our carbon footprint ♻ and do our bit to save the planet 🌍, we have introduced a bring your own water bottle (pre-filled) to place at the finish area for the end of the race. Completely optional, but every person who brings their own bottle of water is helping to save the planet one small step at a time.

Bottled water will be provided, as usual, for anyone who doesn’t bring their own. We do use a responsible supplier for our water (as well as being ZERO to landfill), their bottles are made out of 51% recycled plastic and are 100% recyclable.
