Message from the Race Director Andrew Whittingham
With the continued growth in participants at road races and as a long time runner and member of Wilmslow Running Club, our series of races are the culmination of an ambition to offer quality road races. By taking our passion for running and creating events which match our own expectations having taken part in hundreds of races over the years. The Alderley Edge By Pass 5 was the first in a series of interesting races. Working with local charity partners we will offer races which help in motivating you to participate more in running and exercise whilst also raising money for worthy causes. I also aim to make the races equally suitable and welcoming for elite runners and those who are new to the sport. I would encourage early entry through our entry partner nifty entries as races now fill up quickly leaving many potential participants disappointed. The Bypass 5 was a huge success and we expect entries to fill up fast. We hope to recreate the amazing atmosphere of the Bypass 5 with the Wilmslow 10k.
As well as a unique venue, we also offer you • Full chip timing integrated into your race number • Instant results onto your smart phones • A commemorative medal and refreshments • Secure parking facilities within 1/4 mile of the start within Wilmslow • On site Massage facilities • Celebrity appearance for the race start and prize giving • A half way water station plus water and bananas at the finish • The opportunity to run for Key 103's Cash for Kids & raise money • Professional post-race images available • Professional start & finish area • Race organised by experienced runners.
